Capital Invest operates as a permanent capital vehicle, investing exclusively for its own account. This funding structure is distinct from the decisions made about individual investments: it establishes whose capital is committed and which external timetables do not apply.
Capital belongs to the company
The company is the principal investor. It does not allocate money entrusted to it by third-party clients or manage a fund for external investors. Each commitment concerns its own investment account.
No external fund calendar
Investment activity is not organised around a fixed fund life, investor redemption schedules or externally imposed investment periods. Those features of a fund structure do not determine when Capital Invest must realise a position.
This gives the company discretion over timing. It does not mean that every investment should be held indefinitely, or that a particular holding period is appropriate in every case.
Structure provides discretion; judgement gives it direction
Permanent capital explains the source and continuity of funding. The separate question of when to hold, reassess or leave an investment belongs to the company's ownership judgement.
The Time & Ownership page develops that distinction: a flexible funding structure creates room to choose, while the investment case supplies the reason for a decision.
